You're a real classy sort there.
What I'm saying is, if you want to talk about "protecting a way of life" then the "way of life" is to be making a living from running a farm. It has become difficult to do that in the cow-calf business, and it's not the fault of the guys who are out there raising cattle for a living. It is primarily the fault of guys who are playing with cows and not depending on them to actually make money because they are subsidizing it with a job somewhere. These non-profit operations which create supply without regard to profit take the profit out for the guys who are trying to make a living raising cattle.
