Well, on that basis, we would have practically no storage because we have one, 3, and only a few 5 year leases.   I'm not going to quit and there is always more land.

Storage still pays if you intend to keep farming.  If you are going to quite in two years, then no, it may not be a great idea, however if you build a reasonable facility it will have value to someone else. 

Doesn't ILFF have storage?  Isn't their land mostly rented?  Whats the deal?
