From an oldish man to a young man, you probably aren't inheriting anything quit and move on . Don't need to be all a big deal about it just tell him your hand hurts can't come over, then busy with kids stuff can't come over. That small of an acreage your Dad doesn't need help anyway. You can take your equipment repair skills and pretty much work after your regular job as much as you want for $50-$75 an hour or buy some older equipment and start doing custom work.
