E.C. IA | A very good point. I never realized the power nursing homes have until my grandparents went there and my parents started estate planning. Parents have nursing home insurance and I pray to God they never have to use it, But it is there. Here, as I recall, land has to be in a trust or something like it for 5 years to prevent the nursing home from taking it to pay the bills. Seems crazy the power a nursing home actually has over estate/personal finances.
