I think a 30.06 would have limited the damages to MY corn! I also think that the trying to limit the damages argument is foolish. I would assume ( dangerous) that the cow owner would also be required to try to limit the damage by getting the cows out of My field. Shoot. Shovel. Shutup. er, shoot, butcher, shut up.
