Most everyone agrees that you should get something for damages. Most likely that will torch your bridge here. You did assume some things. The old saying " assume and you make an ass out of u and me" comes to mind. Now you know what to expect, how many years will it take to get ahead again? Might be time to swallow the loss, take the landlord out to supper and sign a longterm contract, then call your seed salesman up and order his shortest season corn and plan on taking it off first? Or forget the ground get some damages paid and raise a glass to the experience later in life
