I tried farming with my Dad, finally said enough is enough. I took my family, what was mine for sure and left. I got a town job, we did okay, it wasn't easy but neither was tryin to get along with my Dad.
We didn't speak to each other for 10 years. Finally I heard he was in the hospital and went to visit, we had uneasy relationship from then on. When he died I did end up with the "home place" and some other ground that he had.
I always feel good when I see a dad and a son being able to work together as a team. | |
