Pretty sure you're just going to need your own thing going on. Even if you stay on this farm...........you'll have to show him you don't need him. Then he might back off. You still really haven't stated your own direct financial involvement in your "joint" operation so it's hard for outsiders like us to really know how you two should fit together. Like another poster stated above...........if you are really just a hired hand then he'll probably always treat you that way. Lots of unknowns though to me so I could be completely reading this wrong and apologize if I have. I think that with fathers and sons (and maybe daughters) that there needs to be this sudden point where an emotionally healthy father realizes that their kid is now an adult. Not every father/child relationship gets there.........ever.
