sw ontario | Many of us put the "farm" before anything else and if we don't get it done right now or today the world is going to end. And if its a farm with your husbands parents /siblings working there too it adds to stress. You being pregnant and having a 1 & 3 yr. old its not realistic to be out there with your husband . Its not that he doesn't love/care for his family . Often we make the excuse that we work all the time to provide family with better life when its not always material "things" the family wants or needs .
All this is especially hard if you were not raised on a farm by a workaholic Dad . Being in the livestock business it is a 24/7 365 day a yr. job or worry , at least cash crop farming you have a couple of months of really busy times but a lot of the time you can pick when to ship grain or do repairs/service. Not really any answers for you other than is it possible to hire some extra help ? When calving season is done have a quiet conversation with him about your feelings. Try to visit & spend some time with other young Mom's if you can....good luck | |
