South Central MN | I am guessing you didn’t grow up on a ranch. We farm, but I did not grow up on a farm. It was an extreme shock to me how much time fall fieldwork takes. When we got married (in 1981), there weren’t “buddy seats” in farm machinery, so I was at home. We had kids very early in our marriage. I HATED fall fieldwork time. I went to work during the day and was home with the kids at night. After a couple years of hating it, I decided to embrace it. I used that time to do Christmas shopping (probably mostly window-shopping because we didn’t have much money)or other things. It’s tough when you have little kids, but decisions need to be based on them. I agree that you do need to share this with your husband, but not right now. I’ll say it again, it’s tough when you have little kids, but that time will pass and hopefully it will get easier. | |
