NE Oregon | Thank you guys for all the words. This has been an ongoing struggle since we moved back to, you guessed it, the family ranch. I will try and seek out an older ranch wife and see if friendship there might help fill in the gap a little. I do recognize that I am definitely a bit more emotionally “needy” than many women, but he chose me to make a life with and as some posters said- it’s not really the things money can buy but the life you make together that counts when it’s all said and done. He “sold me” on the appeal of all the ranching life has to offer, which is much, in theory, but in practice we never get to enjoy these things together because as you all know there is always more work.
I do appreciate the replies and there is a lot of comfort in knowing I’m not the only one to have ever felt this way. | |
