Farmer 45 I think you've got it right. It's not some sort of take out menu. So, if you're a Confessional Lutheran, or a Roman Catholic, or an Orthodox Catholic, etc., there are some foundational issues in the denomination that you must adhere to otherwise you separate yourself from that church body. Oh, unbaptized Christian may appear to be a contradiction in terms to us, but it relates to some church bodies (mostly Reformed) conception of the efficacy of Baptism and Communion. It revolves around the notion that the person makes a "decision" for Christ, and that the public baptism is an outward sign of that decision. Sort of like confirmation day, only you get wet.
