The term nondenominational always amuses me. Where are your pastors trained? They are surely teaching what they have been taught and believe. Therefore you are really of the denomination that the pastor came from without having to support that denomination in any way. My experience with nondenominational churches around here as well as some denominational ones is that they tell the people what they want to hear. I will almost guarantee you that you won't hear anything about sin in these churches. Without sin there isn't any need to hear about Jesus other than what a good example he is. You tend to get a lot of fluff and little meat.
