Embarrass WI
In 1981 I was Lutheran(still am)and wanted to marry a Catholic girl. We went to her priest and he refused to do the ceremony because we wanted to be married outdoors. So we went to my pastor and he married us, shortly after my new wife changed to Lutheran and that is how we raised our kids.

We did go through all the premarital questioning before he told us he wouldn't do the ceremony. That did have value, I think. They were trying to get you to realize the depth of commitment you were making.
