Subject: RE: Catholic marrying a non- catholic, need advice

I probably shouldn't post anything here as I am not Catholic, am not married to a Catholic, but am a Christian and go to Church regularly. We raised three boys, all of which go to Church, one being a minister.

With that said I see a lot of former Catholics going to nondenominational churches that find a renewed faith and get very active in the Church. I am not sure why that is although it might be because they are not required to do things but because they want to they are more apt to.

My suggestion for the OP would be to visit a number of Churches with your future wife, find the one you are both comfortable with and make it your Church. It may be your or hers or one completely different. If you do that you will be more likely to continue going to Church.

There is reason the nondenominational churches are growing and the denominational are not. You may want to check it out.
