Subject: RE: Catholic marrying a non- catholic, need advice

Geuda Springs, Kansas
I married a non catholic gal almost 4 years ago now. We married in her church in Manhattan Kansas. Only thing we had to do was do marriage counseling with the priest in my church. He had to send a letter to the bishop asking for permission to have a wedding outside of the church. Permission was granted by the bishop and all was good.

Some people still tell me I am supposed to have my marriage blessed in the church. However I still have he letter from the bishop proving It is blessed. I am a slightly liberal catholic anyway so take that for what it is worth, LOL. In the end I think the special ones are hard to find. I think I would have married outside of the church if that is what it came down to. Good Luck.
