Oh gosh, m&a, I wasn't responding to your post specifically, as others above had commented on tradition negatively, so just added it to the bottom as you were the last post. You added more, so thought it was time for a response. I'm no expert and maybe I'm completlely wrong, just know that I don't have that big of problem with old ways. We travel around the world and most times adhere to their traditions out of respect for their culture, then trash the ones at home. I'm sure if the catholic church never got another annulment request they would sing with joy. Marriage is serious and precious, so why not get all the input and help to make it the ONLY one you are ever in. Crap happens, so no insult to the ones who didn't make it. It's kinda like marrying the person your freinds and family don't think much of. Sometimes it pays to listen to others concerns.
