People talk about low carb being expensive because of all the meat involved replacing the starchy carbs. But for us I don't think it is not any more expensive and may be cheaper because of what you mention. No more junk food snacks and the basket at the grocery store is not nearly as full with stuff we no longer eat.
Back in the day of higher carbs............
