Subject: not everyone needs ultra low carb

You are welcome.

With my current understanding (which is always subject to change), you are spot on.

The standard American diet (SAD) I have heard is around 300 grams carbs IF, IF a person is not eating a bunch of junk food snacks along with it. A two liter of soda and a handful of Little Debbie's and it is easy to get to 500 grams carbs a day.

Compared to a SAD diet, I would think someone trim and metabolically healthy would thrive on 120 grams carbs a day or less. And 100-120 grams would give a person loads of food options compared to my 20 gram ketogenic carb limit (I was diabetic and metabolically unhealthy - I needed big intervention) . I'm not a doctor nor dietitian, so that is just a layman's opinion based on what I have learned from many on line doctors recomendations.

Thing of it is, it is not hard to give it a try. I felt better and had initial results after one week and was sold by the second week. Others results may vary.

John
