North of London | The fear of progress is not new.
There were demonstrations against 'modern' manufacturing methods many years ago when factories were set up instead of individuals making things.
People were afraid of hydro in buildings when it was first introduced.
People though the old steam trains were going too fast for a human to survive the speed (much slower than todays cars go)
So where do we stop progress?
Maybe the next breakthrough will cure cancer. | |
