North of London | You are correct bout being able to 'just believe' in anything but many of us like to have evidence and proof before accepting a hypothesis.
Plate tectonics is a proven theory (OK so a scientific theory only becomes a theory after it has been proven) read up on it and how the first signs of it was how the existing continents fit together like a jig saw puzzle if you back up their movement .
I would have to study it again but Africa is expected to move up to Europe and close the Mediterranean sea.
I did not do the math about how long it took for the Atlantic to widen to its present width but I am sure you will find that info.
There is evidence of trees and other plants that are now in the Arctic that grew in tropical climates.
So once you find evidence for the flood THEN you could use that to explain the movement of the plates which of course is forcing the mountains up in Italy/Switzerland and of course the Himalayan mountains too. | |
