I couldn't take Genesis literally if I tried.
I believe we all have one common mother, Eve. I don't believe the world or humans have been around anywhere near 100,000 yrs. Taking Genesis literally makes way more sense to me than anything else I've ever heard. A simple faith in God makes things so much less complicated.
Science is true, whether you choose to believe it or not. We have proof that the world is around 4.5 billion years old. Your proof is a collection of stories assembled 1000 years ago. None of it is complicated at all.
