The landowner is in someway dissatisfied with the present tenant. Somebody else will probably be farming the ground next year. It might as well be you. In the past, we have sometimes asked prospective landowners if they were going to change tenants no matter what we decided. The answer has always been: Yes, the present tenant will not be farming next year.
