i get land offered to me every year.....its a compliment to me based on how i run things and save the soil....i have in the past turned it down cause they wanted more rent ...they came to me remember, if you pay more it will look like you were trying to run your neighbor over with the bus so to speak.....i have talked to the ''now'' renter and asked his side ......respect is a 2 way street....and there is not enough money in farming to get a bad name with your nieghbors.....they got your back in a crisis like you got theirs...

imho you are not the bad guy...they came to you...i'm 48 , if that makes me an older farmer
