thumb of michigan | Kind of sounds like the guy tapped into a main that he knew was there, possibly it was partially paid for by him years ago or might even be his totally. We have a main that runs half a mile under another property that has changed owners 3 times. Still the guy should have talked to you first. Any time we have to maintain our main the first call is to the property owner, second one to tile guy.
