Nursing home costs seem very high but yet when you consider this place is their home with utilities, meals, 24/7 care, laundry and just having someone there to help and care for a person.....well it figures out to about $11-13 per hour. What would you have to pay an in home care giver just to provide care? I am not at all saying that it doesn't seem like a huge monthly expense but really includes everything. I do realize the Rx's and Dr. visits are extra but most nursing home residents have Medicare.
