tennessee | My dad is gone and my mom is in poor health....may have years to go but may have days idk. She has never wanted to put her home in my name or my brothers kids name (my brother is gone too). I completely understand her wanting to keep what's hers. She has done no estate planning at all. I'm afraid if she goes to nursing home they will take her house. I'm not after the money, I just think we need to work something out to save the house if possible. She only has her home with 3 acres...is there any thing that can be done to protect the property at this point? She is very indecisive and don't know what to do. We are hoping someone in the family will buy it when she's gone, but we really don't want it taken by a nursing home. Difficult decisions. I love my mom dearly and hope she's here another 20 yrs but her health says something else. Thanks. | |
