Subject: RE:Question for you firemen.

central - east central Minnesota -

midwest - 3/3/2012 09:11 Do you train your firemen to drive tankers? We had a neighboring district that purchased a larger tanker. Long story short, they rolled it. More power than the old one, bigger.....a little taller.....driver went around a corner too fast. Injured a few guys.

I know of a case, in the late 80's, in the Cities - where the driver of the fire truck, thought Trains need to yield to the fire truck -
Totaled out a $280,000 dollar pumper / ladder trk, at that time. He didn't get fired or asked to leave either.
