Subject: RE: tanker firetruck

North Central ND
Back in 2006, Harvey Rural Fire Department purchased a 3500 gallon WaterMaster (now owned by Heiman Fire Equipment) tanker. This has a vacuum system really similar to a grain vac. You can draft from a water source with a 6" hose and fill the tank in about 8 minutes. This rig unloads by means of pressure built up in the tank or gravity on left, right or rear of the unit. Under pressure, it can unload in about 75 seconds. Since water never actually runs through a pump, it is certified to haul potable water. With this technology, fire depts. in Lousinana were able to haul potable water to Hurricane Katrina victims. If you have any questions, feel free to call me at 701-693-6333 or email [email protected].

Sincerely,

Bill Deck
Past Chief
Harvey Fire Dept.
