Kingston,Mi | Our fire dept. purchased a pumper/tanker from a dept that was upgrading (one of our fire fighters had moved to this dept.), 2800 gallon tank on a 84 Louisville tandem, 3208 with an Allison. Nice size for a tanker (matches up well in size to the other dept. that we mutual aid to) and having the ability use it as a pumper is an additional benefit, no need presently for a second dedicated pumper.
I think the dept would do this again if needed, several others in our area have gone this route. | |
