Age would be a big factor........ I am thinking I wouldn't be the main source of labor from the get go, just assistant and managment and loadout help.
I have a son that is 10. I don't want to hand him anything but would sure like it if he decides to stick around and farm somewhere around me. One thought is if dad has a hog set up paid for when he is out of college. Dad wouldn't be against selling son hog setup on some type of contract. Dad doesn't give son handout, but a chance to work around here while he builds his own land base. | |
