sw ontario | kookier, +1 ...if it wasn't for a son coming or staying home to farm there would be no pigs but it is hard to rent land,hard to hold on too it and really don't want to buy at the top....FWIW and we have a june 30 year end last year with hogs and crops we had highest net income ever..........son is working on adding a finisher barn for our own hogs now and main question is if he builds it then he is committed to 10 more years....with livestock you earn every penny you get......some farms got hit bad by circo a few years ago and lost 40% of there hogs in 3 weeks | |
