n.c.iowa

i've seen basis fluctuate 15 dollars over the course of a month, like kooiker said, the big unknown.obviously it depends on the packers needs.used to use some forward contracting, seen basis go from 10 under to 3 over in a matter of 2 weeks on the same contract.i have run into a couple of intergrators that are offering deals that pay for the barn and offer a nice return to labor+manure+incentives.others are using incentives, and manure value to bolster the fact that their contracts lose money, strip away those two items abd it looks pretty ugly.
