Alton, Ia | As to the soil testing, my concern would be it seems to me there is enough variability in testing, either when sampling or at the lab, that basing a decision as to whether the soil was mined or not, could be an inaccurate decision.
We sample every 4 years, 2.2 or 4.4 acre grids, depends on fields. When I compare previous tests, I can't explain the changes in fertility, either up or down. So that makes me think soil sampling is an inexact science, at best. | |
