alleged are on the rocks in this series of posts. According to various posts (including yours ) there total 4 bto's who are in trouble ( giving up dirt etc ) in that area.
Perhaps the bank you mention is renting out the dirt that family owns.
Seems kind of rare a bank would be in affect sub leasing rented dirt ( one never knows though ). Seems like maybe the bank should just farm it...or hire to have someone farm it.
