Pipestone MN | Was in the area talking to some other farmers by Madison today, part of what BTO was renting was from 3 brothers that own alot of land in the area, 2 have now died and 3rd is in ill health (cancer). Person in charge of the trust for the guys said that some of the land will be sold to pay for taxes,(estate taxes from the 1st one that died are like 8-9 million and not settled yet). So person may not have a chance to have a long term lease on this land. Was told it is renting for 170-180/acre. Couple of guys said they could have it for that, good luck. Guess they are not having any trouble finding new renters.... | |
