I think I've had my cpap for 4 years now, definitely helps me feel more rested but not the life changer that it has been for some people. I changed to a nasal pillow head gear and like it better. I slack at the maintenance, think I've cleaned the hose twice and the face piece a couple times a year.
It took me a while to get used to sleeping with it because I used to sleep on my stomach and I had to get used to sleeping on my back. Now that I'm used to wearing it I fall asleep much faster with it on.
Other than sleeping on my stomach, and I have a machine to clean mine each day (just hook up the hose and it cleans the machine) my story is the same.
The nasal pillows were what made it work for me.....I could not stand the full face mask.
