Been using one for at least 30 years. Think I am on my 4th machine. I have one for travel that we keep bagged up and the other stays under the bed. Wife also has one that she uses on and off for probably ten years.
I have a mustache so the face masks never worked very well for me. When they came out with the nasal pillow headgear that was a big improvement. Getting a headgear that fits and seals is a key to success.
The new machines are great. Almost don't even need a sleep study because they adjust automatically to a person's needs. I have found I still need to set my maximum pressure though.
Respironics Dreamwear is the current headgear I am using and like it really well. At first thought I was going to hate it but once I got used to putting it on really like it. Before that I had a Respironics Breeze headgear and that was a great improvement over what I had used before that. Not sure if they even make those any more. |
