There is not much difference planting one's butt in a 4440 or a new rig as far as work is involved.

There is not much in common with herding loose pigs through the mud and all that goes with that system and moving pigs in a confinement system.


Ive planted corn with a 4440 and 12 row 30 box planter and now plant with an 8R with autosteer and 24 row ccs planter with clutches and all the bells and whistles, its way easier today. But i do get your point that the "pain" is greater in the swine scenario. My initial point was meant to capital outlay and latest technology
