Your not comparing apples to apples genetics butchering and feed will change the taste before indoor and outdoor ever will
To truly compare you need to take 2 pigs out of a litter grow one out doors and one in a confinement same feed same butcher im willing to bet blind taste test you cant tell the difference
Ive actually done this for 4h i raised the pigs outside because thats all we hand we always butchered one that same year we had a fat hog go down in the chute in the confinement so we butchered it to and you could not tell a diffrence
You also need to realize not all store bought meat is raised in a confinement although the numbers are extemely small there is pork still being raised outside that goes to the packing plant then the store and labled just like the meat in the confinement
