Yep, I agree, it's idealized. Those are images from "foodie" websites that want this though. They want this "humane" treatment. Here is a link for the hog hut picture: http://politicsoftheplate.com/?p=1763 When those people think of what this future would look like, they see the idealized version and won't be around for the reality of it.

I could see the third world sourcing in a normal context, but then again, if there are laws created to force a more "humane and natural" form of livestock cultivation, wouldn't importing from the third world where these standards do not exist defeat the purpose of the legislation. I could see a tandem part of the legislation limiting imports only to countries which comply with this hypothetical humane treatment standard as well.
