I really agree with the rural societal and cultural impact. Those are really interesting points on the multiplier effect of those jobs and income. That excess comes from an inefficiency and generally we always want to root out any inefficiency because it makes us money in the short-term. But like your example of the weak and bloody sow, what other costs can be associated with it as well; when we turn, what I consider, a noble profession into an industrial process. Is there some degree of care and husbandry that we lose along the way. There is a balance to many things. | |
