There are plenty of folks out their that would accept evidence if it were proffered. What would you say about Pastors like say, John Loftus, who have become vocal Atheists. He even wrote a book about his deconversion called "Why I became an Atheist." Heck, he even studied under William Lane Craig. You think he is just dismissing the evidence? It matters little what human you study under, when you give in to Satan, even just a little, sin can consume your life. Pornography is a typical place to start; then you feel compelled to make all sorts of excuses to make the fall acceptable in the eyes of the community you find yourself in, ie, "dismiss the evidence". When they did not revise scripture for his sake, he rejected all scripture, not just the parts he previously didn't want to apply to his life.
