North of London
We all know that water erodes but to have a great flood encompassing all the land on earth is not possible with all the water available and then to explain where it all went again after.

There are lots of stories of floods in local areas that most of us on this forum could relate but those are very local and even then they did not flood entire localities but just low land.

I do not think there is any evidence to show mountains receding or rising in any thing that could be considered a short period of time.

If you want another hypothesis to explain the 'flood' check out the one about a meteor hitting the ocean between India and Africa I think and how that hypothesis claims it caused darkness and rain for days after from what was thrown into the atmosphere.
It also claims huge tsunami waves were formed which washed over many land areas.

Have not heard it connected to that but there are large rocks on top of seaside cliffs in Australia that are thought to have been put there but monstrous tsunamis in the past.
