Let it go. Being a jerk is a prerequisite for being a high school coach. It's just the way it is and always has been.
I think this is a pretty unfair generalization of coaches. Obviously there is always the case where this applies but I think generally kids today are coddled and raised to be wussies where mom and/or dad are always trying to "plow the snow for junior". I have seen far more parents as jerks than I have coaches. Most high school coaches wages work out to be at or under minimum wage when you add up all the hours they put in. |
