Wisconsin | If they have snow on the ground, and the temp is still 60 at three feet deep, then I bet the mains aren't freezing too bad. Don't try running the water until it gets cold in the summer time though, it will never get cold because it's so shallow.
Don't forget salt is a good antifreeze. If your drain traps are plastic, then salt will work great. Add some to the toilet, run some brine through the pipes if you can. If they don't bother putting the pipes more than a foot deep, I wonder how much RV antifreeze they have available on the shelf? Sugar works too, if you don't want to put salt in something. | |
