Believe it or not but it’s illegal to shut off (tamper) your own water at the meter in certain municipalities. I don’t know if that’s common across the state or not. But there are some that will fine you. And then you also have people who only know how to turn on and off their cell phones and TVs. Don’t expect much more than that.
