Hooker Twp,Ne | First for all. Most of time when towns loses electric their water towers still produce water pressure into homes. I have been without electric on the farm for over two weeks years ago and had to go to my folks where we had a generator. I would get the pressure out of the water lines by opening a facet. Drains would get rv antifreeze, stools flushed with rv antifreeze after flushing and never had a problem with broken pipes. It’s the pressure in the pipes that cause most of the problem. I’ve never heard in the area I live in where a sewer pipe froze unless it was at the very dump end. | |
