Open up a couple of faucets. Running water won’t freeze.
Here, in the late 70's, early 80's, we had some winters with some extended stretches of minus 20's.
Cousins had a 5/8 inch plastic water line running above ground from a pond to a well approx. 300-400 feet away. Every morning the line would be frozen and have to be loosely rolled up and taken into the hog house utility room to thaw. One cousin couldn't believe it, thought it must slowly freeze around the outside and pipe diameter became smaller until the flow was so restricted that it was totally frozen |
