Hope I read this wrong. If you have a water leak you have to wait until someone from water office comes out to shut your water off at your own meter. By the time they get there your house is full of water.


Every house I've ever seen has a valve where the water comes into the house...not the main at the street...whether in the garage..closet..outside the back door. Somewhere


But have you toured houses across the South?

There are older houses that don’t have shutoff valves even under the sinks. Mine do.
